Two weeks into the NFL season, Tim Tebow is still without a job. A group of football fans, however, are looking to change that.

On Monday, a collection of Jacksonville Jaguars fans have decided to get together at 3:16 p.m. ET in the parking lot of EverBank Field. The purpose of the rally is to urge the organization to sign the quarterback. The significance of the time is in reference to the bible verse John 3:16, which Tebow once had written on his eye-black during a game in college.

"The Jaguars' season is really in the tank," James Stewart, an organizer of the rally, told ESPN.com. "They don't have a lot of promise. There's not a lot to watch. We're consumers and the Jaguars are a product, and there's a lot of room for improvement. Tebow we think would be value added if he were to be signed and given an opportunity at quarterback.”

The event comes less than 24 hours after the Jaguars fell to 0-2 in 2013. It’s early, but it appears that Jacksonville is headed towards finishing the season with the worst record in the league. They’ve been outscored 47-11, including a loss to the lowly Oakland Raiders.

A lot of the Jaguars problems stem from the quarterback position. In two years, Blaine Gabbert has yet to prove that he can be a productive quarterback in the NFL. His backup, Chad Henne, wasn’t able to help the offense do much better on Sunday. He didn’t lead the Jaguars to their first touchdown until more than 12 minutes had gone by in the fourth quarter.

Tebow has often been rumored as a potential fit in Jacksonville because of his collegiate success with Florida. When the Denver Broncos traded him to the New York Jets in 2012, the Jaguars also made an offer for the former Heisman Trophy winner. Since then, however, general manager David Caldwell has insisted that he is not interest in Tebow.

If Jacksonville doesn’t make a run at Tebow, the quarterback’s time in the NFL may be over. However, he seems to have several options to play professional football elsewhere. First, he received a contract offer from the upstart L.A. KISS in the arena football league. It seems as if the signal caller also has the opportunity to play overseas.

The Moscow Black Storm want Tebow on their team for the Russian American Football Championships. Owner Mikhail Zaltsman claims he has talked to Tebow about the possibility of joining his club. He says he offered Tebow $1 million to participate in just the semifinal and championship games, which will begin at the end of September.

“We have offered him $1 million for two games,” Zaltsman told Russia Beyond the Headlines. “I talked with him personally and he wanted to go.” According to Zaltsman, Tebow decided to listen to his agents, who advised against him going to Russia.

Tebow was released by the New England Patriots after their final preseason game. He was competing to be their No.3 quarterback.
