The first quarter of the 2013 NFL season didn’t go exactly as many experts predicted. The NFC, which was expected to be the dominant conference, is home to 11 of the 13 teams that have a losing record.

One NFC team that has lived up to the hype has been the Seattle Seahawks. They’ll participate in, maybe, the most highly-anticipated matchup of the week when they visit the Indianapolis Colts. It’s the first time Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck will face off after being taken in last year’s draft.

Two teams coming off big wins will begin Week Five on Thursday Night Football. After their win against the defending Super Bowl champs, the Buffalo Bills are set to visit the 2-2 Cleveland Browns.

The Jacksonville Jaguars could end up being one of the worst teams that the league has seen in quite some time. As a result, they are the biggest underdogs, getting 11.5 points when they face the St. Louis Rams, who are just 1-3. Jacksonville has lost its first four games by an average of 24.5 points.

While the Jaguars have been historically bad, the Denver Broncos have gotten off to one of the best starts in NFL history. They’ve won every game by at least 16 points and have yet to score fewer than 37. Even on the road, they are favored by a touchdown over the Dallas Cowboys. With Peyton Manning leading what could be a record-breaking offense, the over/under for the contest is higher than any other.

Following their blowout win on Monday Night Football, the undefeated New Orleans Saints are underdogs for the first time this year. They’ll get one point when they visit the Chicago Bears, who suffered their first loss in Week Four.

The New England Patriots have yet to be beaten, and the New York Giants remain winless, but that is expected to change for both teams on Sunday. New England is a slight underdog in Cincinnati, while the Giants are favorites against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Week Five features the least amount of games, thus far, in the 2013 NFL season. Only 14 contests are scheduled with the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins on their bye weeks.

Below are the complete betting lines for all the Week Five games, including the point spreads and totals. These are the consensus odds from multiple sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

The first month of the 2013 NFL is set to come to a close this weekend. The slate of games is expected to be fairly competitive with just two contests having a betting line of seven points or more.

Week 4 is scheduled to get underway with an NFC West matchup. The San Francisco 49ers have surprised many by losing two of their first three games, and they’ll look to get back to .500 when they visit the 1-2 St. Louis Rams. The defending division champs are favored by a field goal on Thursday Night Football.

An unusual amount of road teams are expected to win in Week 4. In 15 of the games, eight of the home teams have been made underdogs. The Indianapolis Colts are the biggest road-favorites of the week. They’re giving the 0-3 Jacksonville Jaguars 8.5 points. Jacksonville has proven to be the worst of the winless teams, losing by an average of 21 points per contest.

Five other teams will be looking to get their first win of 2013, two of which are guaranteed to end Sunday at 1-3. The Pittsburgh Steelers will visit the Minnesota Vikings in a battle of winless teams. In Oakland, Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins will visit the Raiders. In both games, the road team is favored.

Following another blowout victory, the Denver Broncos are the favorites of Week 4. Peyton Manning and the No.1 offense in the NFL are giving the visiting Philadelphia Eagles 11 points. Denver is averaging 10 more points per game than the Green Bay Packers, who are second in football in scoring.

Sunday Night Football features one of the premiere matchups of the week. The New England Patriots are underdogs for the first time, as they visit the Atlanta Falcons. The 1.5-point spread is the second-lowest of the week.

Two undefeated teams will close out the week on Monday Night Football. The betting line has the New Orleans Saints spotting the visiting Miami Dolphins more than a touchdown. Despite starting off at 3-0 and beating the likes of the Colts and Falcons, the Dolphins have been underdogs in 75 percent of their games.

For the first time all season, not every team has a game on the schedule. The Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers have the first byes of 2013.

Below are the complete betting lines for all the Week 4 games, including the point spreads and totals. These are the consensus odds from multiple sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

Eight teams enter Week 3 of the NFL season still searching for their first win of 2013. That is expected to change with three of those clubs favored in their upcoming matchups.

The Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers have all been made favorites, despite starting the year at 0-2. The Vikings have the best chance of winning, according to the betting odds, as they are giving the Cleveland Browns five points. The Panthers will host the New York Giants, who also have yet to pick up a victory.

In the last 11 years, fewer than nine percent of teams that lost their first two games went on to make the playoffs. In 2007, the Giants won the Super Bowl after beginning the year 0-2.

Week 3 is set to begin with two teams that have surprised many, thus far. The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. Both teams have seen their Super Bowl odds skyrocket from where they were in the preseason. On a neutral field, this contest would likely be considered an even matchup.

The upcoming slate of games has the two largest point spreads of the year. The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos are considered to be the two best teams in the NFL, and they will play the two clubs that may be the worst in the league. Seattle, who may have the best home-field advantage in football, is giving 19.5 points to hapless Jacksonville Jaguars. The Raiders, who beat the Jaguars on Sunday, are more than a two-touchdown underdog as they visit Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.

The third primetime game of the week features the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers. Because of their slow start, Pittsburgh has been made an underdog at home. They are second to last in the league with 75 total rushing yards.

Pittsburgh’s Week 2 loss came to the Cincinnati Bengals. The AFC North favorites will be involved in what is projected to be the closest contest of Week 3. At home, they are getting one point from the Green Bay Packers. The Bears and Packers are the only road favorites this weekend.

Below are the complete betting lines for all the Week 3 games, including the point spreads and totals. These are the consensus odds from multiple sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

With the preseason finally coming to an end, the 2013 NFL regular season is set to begin on Thursday night. The Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens will kick off the year in a rematch of last year’s playoffs.

The 2014 Super Bowl favorites are giving eight points to the defending champs. Peyton Manning and Wes Welker will take the field together in a meaningful game for the first time. It’s the first time in over a decade that Baltimore is without Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.

The New England Patriots are the biggest favorites of Week 1. Despite opening the year on the road, they are giving the Buffalo Bills 10 points. The Bills are still unsure who their starting quarterback will be. If E.J. Manuel is not healthy enough to go, undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel will get the call.

The Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns are expected to have the most highly-contested game of the week. Miami was originally favored, but the betting line has moved to a pick’em.

Sunday Night Football will debut with the two favorites in the NFC East. The New York Giants will visit the Dallas Cowboys. The home team is favored by three points.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons are ready to start the regular season after being the only two teams to go winless in the preseason. Pittsburgh is favored by a touchdown over the Tennessee Titans, while Atlanta is getting three points at New Orleans

For the seventh straight year, Monday Night Football will begin with a doubleheader. The Washington Redskins, who were one of two undefeated teams in the preseason, will host the Philadelphia Eagles in game No.1. The Houston Texans and San Diego Chargers will finish off the week.
