A California man allegedly killed his sister and his wife in what may have been two mercy killings.

Authorities said the gunman shot and killed his sister, 58-year-old Lisa Nave at a Mission Hills, Calif., nursing home, NBC Los Angeles reported. The sister was in a vegetative state after suffering a heart attack, according to authorities.

The man is also a suspect in the mercy killing of his wife, who was shot dead in their Canyon Country home more than 100 miles away from the nursing home murder, the television station reported. His wife suffered from a generative disease, according to authorities.

"According to family, the wife was suffering from dementia," Los Angeles Police Lt. Paul Vernon told the Los Angeles Times. "The sister was pronounced dead in the hospital bed," Vernon said.

Neither the alleged gunman nor his wife has been publicly identified, but the suspect was described as a 60-year-old man, according to the Times.

Authorities said the suspect walked into the Country Villa Sheraton Nursing and Rehabilitation home around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday and shot his sister in the head. He then allegedly waited by a patio for officers to arrive on the scene.

Family members were also concerned about the alleged gunman’s wife, which led them to the Canyon Country home, where the woman was found shot to death.

The town of Boring, Ore., did not live up to its name Saturday after authorities said a man intentionally drove his motor home into a bar.

No one was hurt in the early Saturday morning incident, when driver Larry Dale Karasch allegedly plowed into the Timber Pub & Grub Tavern in Boring, Ore., the Oregonian reported.

"The driver did not appear to be injured from the crash, but had several self-inflicted wounds on his arms," a spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement about the incident. "The driver was cited and transported to an area hospital, where his wounds would be treated and his mental health will be evaluated."

Karasch was allegedly seen by authorities walking around relatively unscathed from the accident in Clackamas County, the Oregonian reported. The investigation into the bizarre incident revealed that Karasch allegedly meant to drive his motor home into the tavern, according to Fox 12 Oregon. The Pub & Grub tavern had just closed for the night when the incident occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday.
