"Lucky 7’s" luck has officially run out; get use to that joke because, in reference to this show, you’ll be hearing it a lot. Depsite the wide reach of ABC, "Lucky 7" did not attract the audience necessary to survive. After only two episodes "Lucky 7" has officially been cancelled due to abysmal ratings making it the first cancellation of the 2013-2014 fall season.
The drama, centered on gas station attendants in Queens that won the lottery, held the 10 p.m. time slot on Tuesday nights and opened to .7 viewers in the 18-49 demographic, a coveted group for advertisers. According to The Huffington Post that slot will now be filled with reruns of ABC’s hit show "Scandal."
As if having a show cancelled after a measly two episodes isn’t bad enough, their cancellation prompted a slew of media outlets to examine the array of other shows that should be cancelled as well.
