On Friday, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) released a new version of iOS in order to a security update that “provides a fix for SSL connection verification.”

Previously Apple released iOS 7.0.5 for Chinese users to remedy network issues.

As with every release of iOS, the jailbreak community immediately jumped on news of the update with concerns on whether or not the Evasi0n 7 jailbreak for iOS 7 would continue to work with this latest update.

Musclenerd, one of the iPhone hackers and developers behind the Evasi0n jailbreak sent out this tweet after the iOS 7.0.6 update was released:

Soon after, Musclenerd sent out another tweet advising jailbreak users still on iOS 6.x to update to iOS 7 since it appears that an update to iOS 7.1 appears imminent.

In addition to iOS 7.0.6, Apple also released iOS 6.1.6 to fix issues with the iPhone 3GS and 4th generation iPod touches.

According to Winocm, the developer behind the P0sixspwn jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 through 6.1.5, the latest update for iOS 6 and iOS 7 do not appear to fix any bugs aside from the SSL vulnerability.

While some may have deemed the iOS 7.0.6 update “jailbreak safe,” it is still advised to remain on whatever iOS7 version your device is currently running, especially if your device is already jail broken, since Evasi0n has not been updated and tested to work with iOS 7.0.6.

Note: International Business Times is not responsible for any damage caused by jailbreaking your iOS device or running unapproved software.

If you’re still running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.5 you can still jailbreak your iOS device using the Evasi0n tool in the meantime.
