Tim Wilson, the stand-up comedian who also made country-style comedy albums, died Wednesday night of a heart attack. He was 52 years old.

The Georgia native, who was an entertainer for about 30 years, released more than a dozen comedy albums and is perhaps best known for his appearances on the syndicated, Indianapolis-based “Bob and Tom” morning radio show. Wilson’s manager, Chris Dipetta, confirmed the comedian’s death on Twitter, Indiana television station WTHR reported.

Wilson also appeared on the Charlotte, N.C.-based “John Boy and Billy Big Show” and the Nashville, Tenn.-based “Big D and Bubba Show.” The 52-year-old comedian was also a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported.

Among some of Wilson’s best-known comedy songs are “Garth Brooks Ruined My Life,” “The Jeff Gordon Song,” and “The Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas,” which was co-written with comedian Jeff Foxworthy.

Wilson is survived by a wife and two children. The 52-year-old’s funeral plans have not been announced, according to Chattanooga television station WRCB.
