Over the last year former Denver Broncos quarterback and Heisman winner Tim Tebow has faced his fair share of criticism for not making another NFL team.
But Tebow’s embraced all the shots taken at him over the last year in a new commercial for cell phone service provider T-Mobile.
During Tebow’s stint on Friday on ABC’s Good Morning America, the producers showed the full commercial featuring all the things the 26-year-old has done since the New York Jets released him after last season.
Apparently Tebow’s delivered a baby, hunted and tackled Big Foot, taken the stage as a stand-up comedian, honed his mental skills against the world’s top chess players, and ridden bulls like a rodeo cowboy.
When he was originally selected in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft by Denver, Tebow looked past the criticism that said he couldn’t make it the league. Instead he led the Broncos to their first playoff victory in years, and became a superstar around the country.
Unfortunately for Tebow the Broncos signed quarterback Peyton Manning back in 2012 and quickly traded the former Florida Gator to New York.
The Jets insisted they would use Tebow’s unique skill set, featuring a powerful running game with a limited arm, but he only threw for 39 yards and rushed for another 102 yards, scoring zero touchdowns in 12 games.
Numerous stories linked Tebow to a return, but thus far no NFL team has tried to sign him. However Tebow has remained close to the game he loves, and last month he signed a multi-year deal with ESPN to be a college football analyst.
It’s also not the first time Tebow’s been featured in a commercial during Super Bowl week. Tebow and his family were the main focus of an ad for Focus on the Family back in 2010.
