EA Sports’ “Madden 25” predicts that the Broncos will triumph over the Seahawks 31-28 in overtime, making Lousiana-born Peyton Manning, 37, the first quarterback in NFL history to lead two separate teams to the coveted Super Bowl.
This year, an Xbox One video simulation shows an even match between Denver and Seattle, going point-for-point until the final whistle. Both teams possess 28 points while going into overtime, but the Bronco defense blocks Seattle, gaining enough yards to kick a field goal for the win, earning Denver the Lombardi trophy.
Though “Madden 25” is just a football video game, its past predictions have been eerily accurate. In 2009, “Madden” predicted a final score of 27-23 between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. The actual final score was 28-24 – and the Steelers became the first football team to win six Super Bowls.
During the past decade, “Madden” has made eight correct Super Bowl predictions and two incorrect estimations, in 2011 and 2008.
