With all the talk and hype over the PlayStation 4, it’s easy to forget that games are still coming out for its predecessor, the PlayStation 3. March will see the release of the Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD collection - what Square Enix has done is take their 2001 and 2003 games and give them an HD makeover.
Additionally, the North American release will be the “international version” that Europe and Japan originally received, with extra content like Dark Aeons (a tougher version of the game’s summon spirits) and the Creature Creator, which allows players to collect and use defeated monsters in battle.
The US version of Final Fantasy X-2 will also feature “The Last Mission,” an epilogue set three months after the game’s ending where the three leading ladies explore a new tower and discuss their lives. The HD collection will be available in the US on March 18th, including the PS Vita version.
That ought to give you a reason to keep that PS3 around for a bit longer (let’s be honest, the Vita is about as popular as the WiiU). Couple that with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix released a few months, and the PS3 could keep you busy for a while, at least until more PS4 games are out.
