Many experts have handed in their Super Bowl XLVIII predictions, and if they’re right, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos will bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Mile High.
Boasting the NFL’s top offense and the likely MVP in Manning, the Broncos are three-point favorites heading into Sunday’s matchup at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., and 14 NFL experts around the country have them winning over the Seattle Seahawks, who got eight votes.
Picks also come from some unlikely sources when it comes to major sporting events like the Super Bowl.
Hugh and Buffett, two manatees from the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, Fla., have split their decision with the former picking Denver and the latter Seattle, as reported by WTSP-TV.
EA Sports simulated Sunday’s matchup on their immensely popular and top selling video game “Madden 25”, and the simulation called for a 31-28 victory for Denver, according to Yahoo!Sports.
And statistical guru Nate Silver, famous for accurately predicting the presidential winner in all 50 U.S. states in the 2012 election for the New York Times, actually said the numbers he crunched say the game is going to be a tie. But he’s going with Seattle, according to Salon.
With so many conflicting opinions and unique ways to pick a winner it’s important to note that at this point of the season everyone, expert or not, has a 50/50 chance of picking the right team to win it all.
