Two of New York’s most infamous married columnists have now taken their gossip to print in their new memoir ‘Scandal: A Manual’ to reveal the dirty secrets of the celebrity world, and their hunt to expose them. George Rush and Joanna Malloy shared a hugely popular column called ‘Rush and Malloy’ with The Daily News from 1995-2010, but some of their stories, and encounters never made it to print, till now.

From physical threats, bribery to scandal the power duo now share their most enticing celebrity encounters in their new memoir. Rush and Malloy sat down with IBTimesTV to explain why the time to spill their secrets was now, as they shared their most scandalous tales from the job.

With broken marriages, and celebrity melt-downs Rush and Malloy were quick to defend their own actions by stating that celebrities would often blame the media instead of being accountable for their own actions. Now, with twitter they have even more control with how their image is crafted for their fans.

With “more gossip then ever” Rush and Malloy assure that social media will not destroy the profession of the gossip columnists, as things like twitter have given just about anyone a plat-form to share gossip. The professional is expected to fact check and use sources before delivering the scandalous news of the celebrity world.

Molloy was quick to respond that at times she does feel guilty with the type of gossip she has written, while her husband Rush simply said it is part of the job. Going into the profession of a gossip columnist will need you to have thick skin, as “it’s not personal”.

As it turns out in their profession they “were the bearer of bad news”. Rush and Malloy recall their most scandalous moments on the job with IBTimesTV, as they reveal their only regret is the stories they did not get to tell…until now.
