A man dressed up as Santa Claus and a gift-wrapped box robbed a Florida bank Monday, and authorities are still searching for the bad Santa.
A SunTrust Bank in Port Orange, Fla., was held up around 3 p.m. Monday, when the Santa gave a note to the teller that suggested that the package he was holding was “harmful,” according to My News 13.
The Santa wore a hat, beard, wig, and sunglasses, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The Santa fled the bank in a dark-colored car. The amount of money he robbed from the bank was not disclosed. Nobody was injured during the holdup.
Authorities evacuated the bank as a bomb squad investigated the suspicious package, which turned out not to contain any explosives.
The Santa bank robber was described as about 6-feet tall and a medium build. He was said to be in his 30s or early 40s, according to the Sentinel.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect, according to Orlando television station WFTV.
