A 12-year-old boy was shot Monday morning at a Nevada middle school, prompting Sparks Middle School to be placed on lockdown.
Police told the Reno Gazette-Journal that the shooter was “neutralized,” although it’s unclear exactly what that means. Sparks Middle School students were evacuated to Agnes Risley Elementary School following the shooting.
Parents were told to pick up their children at the elementary school, the Gazette-Journal reported. Traffic was blocked to other vehicles, according to the paper.
A command post was set up in front of Sparks Middle School, although police have given no further details on the shooting.
