John Kerry has enough on his plate as the 68th United States secretary of state, without having to deal with a burglary at his home in Georgetown, Md., but that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday night.

A police report states that a white male broke into a vehicle that was parked inside a detached garage behind Kerry’s home, according to Fox 5 in Washington, D.C. The man was spotted just before 10 p.m.

A source told Fox 5 that the Ford Expedition belonged to a security official working for Kerry. The police report doesn’t mention anything being stolen.

According to his official schedule, Kerry was at a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Rome when the break-in occurred at his $4.7 million home, the Daily Mail said.

This isn’t the first time a residence of Kerry’s has been targeted. According to the Daily Mail, a mob of angry anti-war activists descended on Kerry’s $6.9 million home in Boston’s historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, banging on his front door and windows in protest of the proposed U.S. military action in Syria.

Kerry has not yet commented on the burglary at his Georgetown home.
