AMC’s “Breaking Bad” reached its epic conclusion in “Felina,” its final episode of Season 5 and the entire series. Fortunately for fans of "Breaking Bad," executive producer and creator of the series, Vince Gilligan, wrote the ending in such a way that it left no stone unturned.

Walter White (Bryan Cranston) made his way back to New Mexico to tie up loose ends, meeting old acquaintances along the way, while also trying to make amends for his actions that occurred over the course of “Breaking Bad."

Take a look back at “Breaking Bad’s” final episode, Season 5 Episode 16, titled “Felina,” in GIFs below.

If you haven’t watched the finale yet, be warned. Major plot spoilers are visible below.

Keys

The “keys of opportunity” fortunately fall in Walt’s lap, giving him a way out of exile in New Hampshire and a ride back to New Mexico.

Paying His Dues

Walt poses on the phone as a New York Times reporter in order to get the home address of his former associates, Elliot and Gretchen Schwartz (Adam Godley and Jessica Hecht).

Housewarming

Walt surprises Elliot and Gretchen as soon as they settle in at home.

Trust Fund and Lack of Trust

Walt enlists the help of Elliot and Gretchen to donate money to Walt’s son, Flynn (RJ Mitte), in the form of a trust fund. They agree reluctantly, but attempt to assure Walt that they'll follow through with his instructions.

However, Walt doesn’t trust that they’ll follow through with their promise, so he adds an extra “insurance policy” in the form of two hit men, who reveal their presence by shining their laser sights on Elliot and Gretchen. Walt promises that Elliot and Gretchen would be monitored to ensure that they follow Walt’s instructions precisely.

Light Show

Moments later, it is revealed that Walt faked the whole thing with laser pointers to scare Elliot and Gretchen into following his instructions.

One Packet

After Walt interrupts a meeting with Lydia Rodarte-Quayle (Laura Fraser) and Todd Alquist (Jesse Plemons), Lydia continues pouring her signature Stevia packet into her tea, a decision she will ultimately regret later.

Some Assembly Required

Soon after, somewhere in the New Mexico desert, Walt is assembling a contraption to use with his M60 machine gun.

Offering Closure

While local and federal authorities are fully aware that Walt is back in town, he still manages to sneak into the new home of his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) to offer some closure in the form of the Global Positioning System, or GPS, coordinates of the location where Hank Schrader's (Dean Norris) and Steve Gomez's (Steven Michael Quezada) bodies are buried.

Keys Revisited

The keys to Walt’s plan are highlighted with a bright red key fob.

Walt tackles Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), as he presses the button on the key fob, triggering the trap he set inside his car trunk.

Fully Automatic

The press of the button triggers the trunk of Walt’s car to open, revealing a M60 machine gun, which begins to fire into the room Walt is in, taking out Jack Welker’s (Michael Bowen) gang.

Cleanup

Todd manages to avoid the machine gun fire, but meets a gruesome death after Jesse chokes him to death using the chains he’s been bound by all this time.

Walt shows Jack no mercy as well, despite his offer to show him where the stash of money is.

Where Did that Ricin Go?

Do you remember that vial of ricin that Walt had been saving? He finds a good use for it--in Lydia’s stevia.

Jesse Escapes

After a brief standoff with Walt, Jesse escapes the compound, finally breaking free of his imprisonment and Walt's manipulative power.

Letting Go

Walt walks through Todd’s meth lab, looking at all the machinery. He places his hand on a shiny tank, reminiscing his work briefly, before he passes away from his wound inflicted by the machine gun.

London Duck Tours Boat Catches Fire, Sends 28 Tourists Into River Thames getdiscountz.blogspot.com

getdiscountz.blogspot.com ® London Duck Tours Boat Catches Fire, Sends 28 Tourists Into River Thames

It’s an amphibious pleasure boat that’s supposed to drive on land and float on water, but one London Duck Tours vessel could barely move Sunday after it caught fire and sent 28 tourists diving to safety in the River Thames just yards from the Houses of Parliament.

The passengers, including some as young as 6 years old, dove into the Thames as smoke billowed out of the vessel, spurring fears of an impending explosion. “A number of people jumped into the water, but they were soon rescued and fortunately at this stage it doesn’t look like anyone’s been seriously injured,” said Neil Withers of the London Fire Brigade. “People are clearly cold, wet and in shock, but they were pulled from the water really quickly, and that’s testament to the work of our firefighters, other emergency rescue teams and others who rushed to the scene to help.”

Withers added that the bus-boat hybrid was about 33 percent destroyed during the incident. The fire brigade towed it to shore Sunday afternoon.

London Duck Tours said the “distressing situation” happened aboard the ship Cleopatra just before noon local time (7 a.m. EDT), but added that all passengers were safe and sound. Three tourists who were taken to St. Thomas’ Hospital for minor smoke inhalation, including a pregnant woman, were all discharged by Sunday evening, according to local authorities. Paramedics treated others at the scene for the effects of cold and shock.

“We would like to thank the company’s crew, the emergency services and the fellow boat operators who all attended the scene for the excellent service and response they provided as part of the evacuation procedures,” London Duck Tours Managing Director John Bigos said in a statement.

Bigos noted that beginning Monday London Duck Tours would run a “land only service” until it can establish the cause of the fire. He added that the popular tour operator runs “a fully modernized fleet of nine vehicles that have been completely rebuilt and refurbished between 2002 and 2012,” including purpose-built hulls, new engines, computerized systems and steering equipment.

Bigos said the company was fully cooperating with investigators and regulatory authorities, but would not make any further comment until the Port of London Authority completes its investigation. He said comparisons in the media with incidents on another amphibious vessel in Liverpool were completely unfounded as they happened with a separate company, the Yellow Duckmarine.

The entire Yellow Duckmarine fleet was ordered out of the water in March after a vessel sank with no passengers aboard. Three months later, rescue teams saved 28 passengers after another Duckmarine tour vessel sank near Liverpool’s Albert Dock. Seventeen tourists went to a Liverpool hospital for treatment, and the company lost its license thereafter, according to local reports. A message on the company’s website says it’s “unable to run tours at present.”

The Yellow Duckmarine incidents put increasing pressure on the British government to review the safety of amphibious craft, which are based on a military design dating back to D-Day. So-called “duck tours” have also come under scrutiny in the U.S., where in 2010 two members of a Hungarian tour group were killed following an engine fire that disabled a Ride the Ducks amphibious bus on Philadelphia’s Delaware River. The families of the victims in that case reached a $15 million wrongful-death settlement last year.

‘Breaking Bad’ Finale: Twitter Trends #BreakingBadFinale, #GoodbyeBreakingBad For Season 5 Ending getdiscountz.blogspot.com

getdiscountz.blogspot.com ® ‘Breaking Bad’ Finale: Twitter Trends #BreakingBadFinale, #GoodbyeBreakingBad For Season 5 Ending

To the dismay of millions of “Breaking Bad” fans, the award-winning series came to an end on Sunday night, and Twitter users were there to provide their reactions with 140-character posts. The hashtags #BreakingBadFinale and #GoodbyeBreakingBad began to trend even before the final episode premiered at 9 p.m. EDT, but the Twitterverse erupted moments after the show’s final seconds.

“Breaking Bad” has been one of the most-talked-about television series, especially its final season. Last week, it won recognition as outstanding drama series at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards show. Its creator, Vince Gilligan, got onstage and said, “Holy crap! I did not see this coming.” He added he thought the Netflix-only drama “House of Cards” was going to take the coveted award, and then backtracked and gave credit to the other contenders in the category.

Some Twitterati didn’t even watch the series finale, but were tweeting how they were trying to avoid social media, or begging that the show’s end not be spoiled.

“Breaking Bad” fans were generally happy to hear the finale would be an extra 15 minutes long, but some felt it was just so more commercials could be added in.

One commenter said the finale was the first time Walter White (Bryan Cranston) was honest through the six seasons of the show.

One of the most popular quotes of the night was what Walter said to Skyler during his goodbyes: "I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And I was really, I was alive."

However, most people talked about how they didn’t want to see “Breaking Bad” end:

Aaron Paul Plays ‘Breaking Bad’ Character Jesse Pinkman On ‘SNL’ Season Premiere getdiscountz.blogspot.com

getdiscountz.blogspot.com ® Aaron Paul Plays ‘Breaking Bad’ Character Jesse Pinkman On ‘SNL’ Season Premiere

Less than 24 hours before “Breaking Bad” was to come to an end, star Aaron Paul appeared on “Saturday Night Live” to poke some lighthearted fun at the series.

On the 39th season premiere of “SNL,” Paul appeared as his “Breaking Bad” character Jesse Pinkman to speak out in favor of Obamacare. In the skit, U.S. President Barack Obama (played by Jay Pharoah) invited Jesse onstage to share his story on why America needs the Affordable Care Act. Unsurprisingly, Jesse began to talk about his former friend and mentor turned enemy Walter White.

“He got sick, like cancer sick,” Jesse said, obviously speaking about the “Breaking Bad” main character Walter White, whose cancer diagnosis was revealed in the series’ first episode. ”Because there wasn’t Obamacare, he couldn’t afford the treatments, so he was backed into a corner, y’know what I mean?”

“Keep in mind, this man was a teacher with a family,” Obama said.

“So he did what any of us would have done, he started cooking meth. And soon it wasn’t just meth, it was murder. Not regular murder. He blew half of a guy’s face off,” Jesse said, before Obama cut him off, clearly embarrassed by the way the story was heading.

“Don’t you want to know what happened to my friend?” Jesse asked before he was shuffled offstage.

Fortunately, “Breaking Bad” fans don’t have to wait much longer to see what happens to Walter White. Chances are, though, it won’t be pretty.

Kenya Calls US Travel Warning ‘Uncalled For, Unnecessary And Unfriendly’ getdiscountz.blogspot.com

getdiscountz.blogspot.com ® Kenya Calls US Travel Warning ‘Uncalled For, Unnecessary And Unfriendly’

Kenya spent the past week laying out all the reasons why travel warnings would only make a bad situation worse, but that didn’t stop the U.S. from issuing a fresh advisory Friday in response to the deadly standoff between government forces and Somali terrorists at an upscale Nairobi mall that left 67 people dead and 240 others injured.

Among those killed were citizens of Australia, Britain, Canada, China, Ghana, France, the Netherlands, Peru and South Africa. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Islamist militant group al-Shabab. The conflict began on Sept. 21 and turned into a four-day siege.

“U.S. citizens in Kenya, and those considering travel to Kenya, should evaluate their personal security situation in light of continuing and recently heightened threats from terrorism and the high rate of violent crime in some areas,” the U.S. State Department advised in its travel warning.

“The U.S. government continues to receive information about potential terrorist threats aimed at U.S., Western, and Kenyan interests in Kenya, including in the Nairobi area and in the coastal city of Mombasa,” the warning continued. “Terrorist acts can include suicide operations, bombings, kidnappings, attacks on civil aviation, and attacks on maritime vessels in or near Kenyan ports. Although the pursuit of those responsible for previous terrorist activities continues, many of those involved remain at large and still operate in the region.”

The State Department acknowledged that the levels of risk vary throughout the country, and said it did not restrict its embassy employees from traveling to the nation’s most popular tourist destinations such as Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Tsavo, Hell’s Gate, Samburu, Mount Kenya and Malindi.

Kenya Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku called on the U.S. to lift its warning over the weekend, telling a crowd gathered for a press conference on the mall attack that it was like a slap in the face from a friend. Kenya is seen as one of the West’s biggest African allies in the fight against terrorism.

“We are concerned by the advisory which is uncalled for, unnecessary and unfriendly ... We believe issuing the travel advisory is counterproductive in the fight against global terrorism,” Ole Lenku said. “There have been numerous terror attacks around the globe and traditionally, friendly countries have not done anything to increase the pain of the victim country.”

Tourism is Kenya’s second-largest source of foreign revenue and one of its largest employers, particularly in rural areas. The industry brought in $1.2 billion last year and employed some 150,000 people, but remains extremely vulnerable to security threats.

Most nations already advise citizens against all but essential travel near Kenya’s volatile border with war-ravaged Somalia. The former prime minister and leader of the opposition, Raila Odinga, pleaded with global leaders via Twitter and other media last week not to issue stricter warnings covering Nairobi and other destinations popular with foreigners:

The attack on the upscale Westgate shopping mall played out in the background as hundreds of members of the international travel and tourism industry converged in Nairobi for both the Africa Hotel and Investment Forum and the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference. Both events went on as scheduled, as industry leaders signaled their ongoing support for Kenya and its nascent tourism sector.

U.N. World Tourism Organization Secretary-General Taleb Rifai urged the international community to stand with Kenya as it moves forward from tragedy. “Kenya is a leading tourism destination which has before shown the extraordinary resilience of its tourism sector,” he said in a statement released by Kenya’s tourism board. “Tourism is one of the backbones of Kenya’s society and economy, and it is now more important than ever to support the tourism sector in Kenya.”

Travel warnings in the wake of the 1998 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi brought tourism in Kenya to a trickle, and it took a decade for the East African nation to get back on track. Numbers grew by 50 percent each year thereafter, according to government figures, until a spate of kidnappings in 2011 near the coastal resort of Lamu once again scared visitors away. It was these kidnappings that, in part, prompted Kenya to send government troops into Somalia to aid in the war against al-Shabab. And it was its effort in the war in Somalia that likely led to the retaliatory attacks last week.

getdiscountz.blogspot.com ® ‘50 Shades of Grey’ Movie Cast Rumors: Charlie Hunnam Quitting ‘Fifty Shades’ After Fan Backlash?

“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Charlie Hunnam may be thinking of leaving the film after thousands of fans signed a petition to have him taken out of the movie, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry. Of course, it’s just a rumor, but the site said the more than 70,000 signatures on the petition to have the “White Collar” star Matt Bomer replace the “Sons of Anarchy” star might have gotten to the English actor.

When news broke over Labor Day weekend that Hunnam had won the coveted role, fans were generally more than upset. The author of the erotic series of “Fifty Shades” books, E.L. James, had hinted that the actor who would play the role in the film would probably not be the person lovers of the series had envisioned, but there was an outcry of disappointment when the casting was ultimately revealed Sept. 2.

It was even rumored Hunnam needed extra security at the recent “Sons of Anarchy” premiere. While some sources said Universal Studios wanted to protect the actor from Christian Grey-obsessed fans, others said it was to make sure that disappointed, irate fans didn’t throw their books at the star.

Hunnam has never publicly said he was going to quit the film. In fact, during interviews, he said he had great chemistry with his co-star Dakota Johnson, who is set to play Anastasia Steele. “There's just a tangible chemistry between us. It felt exciting and fun and weird and compelling,” he said, according to People.

The actor reportedly wanted to try to do more movies after “Sons of Anarchy” wrapped, which is one reason he took the “Fifty Shades of Grey” role in the first place, Celeb Dirty Laundry wrote. The flick is scheduled to be in theaters next Aug. 1, and rumor has its official trailer premiering around the time of the Super Bowl next Feb. 2.

Siemens AG (NYSE:SI) will be cutting its global workforce by 15,000 positions during its next fiscal year, which begins Tuesday. The Munich-based diversified-machinery company noted in its third-quarter interim report it had 368,000 employees in continuing operations as of June 30, so the reduction in force will be in the area of 4.08 percent.

Siemens is attempting to boost earnings as it tries to differentiate itself from competitors such as the larger, U.S.-based General Electric Co. (NYSE:GE) and the smaller, Switzerland-based ABB Ltd. (NYSE:ABB), according to Bloomberg News. The axing of the jobs is part of a cost-cutting program planned to save €6 billion ($8.11 billion), according to Reuters.

A Siemens representative told Reuters the company and its unions have reached an agreement over about one-half of the job cuts and are still negotiating over the other half. The rep said Siemens wanted to end speculation in the market about the number of jobs to be trimmed. The company plans to attain the reduction in force via either attrition or buyouts, meaning it is not contemplating layoffs.

In U.S. trading Friday, the Siemens share price closed at $121.78, down 15 cents, or 0.12 percent.
