Thirty percent of all billionaires were living in one of 20 cities, according to Wealth-X and UBS’s Billionaire Census 2013.
New York City remained the top choice of city of residence for billionaires, with 96 of the richest individuals in the world based there.
Including New York, five of the top 20 billionaire cities of the world were in North America. However, no region has more billionaire-preferred cities than Asia, which has eight.
By country, however, United States took the top spot with three times as many billionaires as China, the country with the second-largest population of billionaires.
