On Friday, General Mills announced a voluntary recall of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing, citing concerns about the dough possibly containing pieces of plastic.

Only Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing are being recalled. No other varieties of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls or Pillsbury dough products are being pulled from shelves, said the company in a statement. The voluntary recall does not affect Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls and Pillsbury Grands! products.

According to General Mills, the recall is being announced as "a precaution because the dough may contain fragments from a broken piece of plastic on the production line." Eight-count single packages of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing marked with "better if used" dates 30OCT2013 and 31OCT2013 should not be eaten, said General Mills. Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing 2-pack with dates 18OCT2013, 26OCT2013 and 31OCT2013 are also being recalled.

Consumers with recalled products are being urged to contact General Mills for replacements. Questions can be directed to General Mills toll-free at 1-800-775-4777.
