AMC’s “Breaking Bad” reached its epic conclusion in “Felina,” its final episode of Season 5 and the entire series. Fortunately for fans of "Breaking Bad," executive producer and creator of the series, Vince Gilligan, wrote the ending in such a way that it left no stone unturned.

Walter White (Bryan Cranston) made his way back to New Mexico to tie up loose ends, meeting old acquaintances along the way, while also trying to make amends for his actions that occurred over the course of “Breaking Bad."

Take a look back at “Breaking Bad’s” final episode, Season 5 Episode 16, titled “Felina,” in GIFs below.

If you haven’t watched the finale yet, be warned. Major plot spoilers are visible below.

Keys

The “keys of opportunity” fortunately fall in Walt’s lap, giving him a way out of exile in New Hampshire and a ride back to New Mexico.

Paying His Dues

Walt poses on the phone as a New York Times reporter in order to get the home address of his former associates, Elliot and Gretchen Schwartz (Adam Godley and Jessica Hecht).

Housewarming

Walt surprises Elliot and Gretchen as soon as they settle in at home.

Trust Fund and Lack of Trust

Walt enlists the help of Elliot and Gretchen to donate money to Walt’s son, Flynn (RJ Mitte), in the form of a trust fund. They agree reluctantly, but attempt to assure Walt that they'll follow through with his instructions.

However, Walt doesn’t trust that they’ll follow through with their promise, so he adds an extra “insurance policy” in the form of two hit men, who reveal their presence by shining their laser sights on Elliot and Gretchen. Walt promises that Elliot and Gretchen would be monitored to ensure that they follow Walt’s instructions precisely.

Light Show

Moments later, it is revealed that Walt faked the whole thing with laser pointers to scare Elliot and Gretchen into following his instructions.

One Packet

After Walt interrupts a meeting with Lydia Rodarte-Quayle (Laura Fraser) and Todd Alquist (Jesse Plemons), Lydia continues pouring her signature Stevia packet into her tea, a decision she will ultimately regret later.

Some Assembly Required

Soon after, somewhere in the New Mexico desert, Walt is assembling a contraption to use with his M60 machine gun.

Offering Closure

While local and federal authorities are fully aware that Walt is back in town, he still manages to sneak into the new home of his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) to offer some closure in the form of the Global Positioning System, or GPS, coordinates of the location where Hank Schrader's (Dean Norris) and Steve Gomez's (Steven Michael Quezada) bodies are buried.

Keys Revisited

The keys to Walt’s plan are highlighted with a bright red key fob.

Walt tackles Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), as he presses the button on the key fob, triggering the trap he set inside his car trunk.

Fully Automatic

The press of the button triggers the trunk of Walt’s car to open, revealing a M60 machine gun, which begins to fire into the room Walt is in, taking out Jack Welker’s (Michael Bowen) gang.

Cleanup

Todd manages to avoid the machine gun fire, but meets a gruesome death after Jesse chokes him to death using the chains he’s been bound by all this time.

Walt shows Jack no mercy as well, despite his offer to show him where the stash of money is.

Where Did that Ricin Go?

Do you remember that vial of ricin that Walt had been saving? He finds a good use for it--in Lydia’s stevia.

Jesse Escapes

After a brief standoff with Walt, Jesse escapes the compound, finally breaking free of his imprisonment and Walt's manipulative power.

Letting Go

Walt walks through Todd’s meth lab, looking at all the machinery. He places his hand on a shiny tank, reminiscing his work briefly, before he passes away from his wound inflicted by the machine gun.
