Extending their home unbeaten streak to eight games this season, Everton trounced Fulham 4-1 behind three unanswered second half goals on Saturday afternoon at Goodison Park.




The Toffees moved up to fourth on the Premier League table, a point behind Manchester City, who throttled first-place Arsenal 6-3 earlier on the day.


Fulham dropped back to second to last on the table with 13 points, just ahead of last place Sunderland, and have lost seven of their last eight matches.


Everton midfielder Leon Osman netted his second goal of the year in the 18th for a 1-0 lead, and Fulham’s Dimitar Berbatov netted the equalizer off a penalty committed by Gareth Barry in the 67th.


But Everton would scored three unanswered goals in the final 23 minutes of play, with Seamus Coleman putting the Toffees ahead for good with a close range left footed shot in the 73rd minute.


Barry made up for his penalty blunder with a goal in the 84th, assisted by forward Romelu Lukaku. Top assist man Kevin Mirallas got into the mix by nothcing his second goal of the year in extra time with a deep right-footed attempt that fell to the bottom left corner of the Fulham net. Osman would be charged with the assist, also his second of the year.


Applying relentless pressure Everton forced 12 corner kicks, and outshot Fulham 22 to 16 with seven shots on target compared to three for the Cottagers.
