The wife and passenger involved in the violent New York motorcycle incident has finally spoken out regarding the now viral video surrounding the attack. According to SUV driver, Alexian Lien’s wife Rosalyn Ng, the twosome was in fear of their lives which caused in her husband's to decide to flee after colliding with a motorcyclist on the Henry Hudson Parkway in New York last week.




In a statement released by the family's attorney, Ng claims Lien’s decision to run over several motorcyclists was in all in an effort to protect his family from harm. “We were faced with a life-threatening situation and my husband was forced under the circumstances to take the actions that he did in order to protect the lives of our entire family,” said Ng. According to previous reports, the couple’s young daughter was also in the vehicle at the time of the attack.


While the public is split between who is in the wrong in the incident which left one man paralyzed and resulted in Lien being reportedly severely beaten by motorcyclists, Ng claims the bikers are the ones to blame. “Our plan last Sunday was to celebrate by having a nice family day out with our two-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, instead we were placed in grave danger by a mob of reckless and violent motorcyclists,” she said.


According to a print report from AM New York Friday, Ng’s statement also shared sympathy for injured biker, Edwin Mieses Jr., whose family claims is now paralyzed after being ran over by Lien.


Lien has reportedly not been charged in connection to the incident. Motorcyclist Christopher Cruz, 28, who can be seen in the now viral clip stopping his bike in front of Lien's Ranger Rover SUV, was charged with misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and unlawful imprisonment after video footage showed him stopping short in front of Lien’s vehicle.


According to a report from the NY Daily News Friday, authorities have identified as least six of the bikers involved in the attack including a man named Reggie Chance. The 38-year-old was identified by police as the individual in the now viral YouTube video, all captured on the helmet of another biker, who smashed Liens’ driver side window with his helmet and pulled him out of his SUV. According to the report, Chance is also being accused of “leading the attack” on Lien which left him beaten and bloodied.
