Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus seemed to be drifting apart for months prior to their official split. Now, reports have emerged that the pair only stayed together because Cyrus thought she was pregnant.
“Miley thought she was expecting and wanted to announce it to the world even before she went to the doctor to verify the results. Liam begged her not to go public yet. He was emotionally out of the romance for months but that point, though he was still sleeping with her. She agreed to stay quiet for Liam’s sake,” a source tells Perez Hilton.
Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus in May 2012 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring, but called off their relationship earlier this month. They began dating in 2009 after co-starring in the film “The Last Song.”
But they have looked to be in deep trouble, especially this past summer, as they were rarely spotted out together. And throughout that time, Cyrus, 20, allegedly “trapped” Hemsworth in the relationship. “Miley essentially trapped Liam in the relationship telling him that if he left her alone shed tell the world that he had abandoned her at such a delicate time. She begged him to stay and said that he could have his space, as long as he didn’t break up with her. So Liam obliged. He got his freedom and she got the right to say they were still engaged,” the source continued.
Since ending the relationship, Hemsworth quickly moved on to fellow actress Eiza Gonzalez, and Cyrus is rumored to be dating music producer Mike Will.
