The last WWE Pay-Per-View saw Daniel Bryan emerge as the new top babyface and Randy Orton became the biggest heel in the company. On Sunday, the two will headline 2013 Night of Champions at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The PPV usually features every title being defended. That won’t be the case this year, with CM Punk and Intercontinental champ Curtis Axel set to wrestle in a non-title match. United States Champion Dean Ambrose doesn’t have a match scheduled, but there have been rumors that he’ll face Dolph Ziggler with the belt on the line.

The match between Bryan and Orton will surely be the main event. Ever since the current champ aligned himself with Triple H, the two have abused their power, in relation to the rest of the roster. Cody Rhodes was recently fired in the storyline for speaking out against the COO, and others have been threatened with the same fate.

The current card features just five matches, with just one not having championship implications. Below are predictions for every match at Night of Champions 2013.

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan

Bryan finally got the upper hand on Orton after weeks of being attacked to end “Monday Night Raw” and “SmackDown.” The most popular man in the WWE, now that John Cena is injured, will eventually get his hands on the title, but Sunday may be too soon. With still four more PPV’s left in 2013 after Sunday, expect Bryan to chase the championship for, at least, a few more weeks. Big Show could be involved in the finish, following his recent involvement with the storyline.

Prediction: Randy Orton

CM Punk vs. Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel & Paul Heyman (Handicap Elimination Match)

Punk has missed several chances to beat up Heyman on several episodes of “Raw,” in the weeks leading up to the PPV. After seeing both Axel and his manager attack Punk a few times, the former WWE champion should finally get his revenge on Sunday. Look for Heyman to become very familiar with a kendo stick and finally get hit with a GTS.

Prediction: CM Punk

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam

The feud began when ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez left the current champ for RVD. The pairing has been odd from the start and may come to an end at Night of Champions. Van Dam doesn’t need to have a title, but likely won’t lose cleanly. There’s a good chance Ricardo will turn on RVD and help Del Rio. If Van Dam does get the win, it could be the perfect opportunity for Damien Sandow to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

Prediction: Alberto Del Rio

Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Natalya vs. Brie Bella vs. Naomi (Fatal 4-Way Match)

Since the premiere of the reality TV series “Total Divas,” Natalya, the Bella Twins and the Funkadactyls have been featured much more prominently on “Raw.” While the exposure has promoted the show, AJ’s work has been much better than the other divas. There doesn’t seem to be much reason to take the title off of her.

Prediction: AJ Lee

Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. Winner of the Tag Team Turmoil No.1 Contender’s Match

On the pre-show, The Prime Time Players, The Uso, Tons of Funk, The Real Americans and 3MB will battle for the right to fight on the actual PPV. Since the winner will face The Shield, 3MB and The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) can be ruled out as possible winners. The Prime Time Players have the best chance to be the No. contenders of all the babyfaces, considering The Usos already had a title shot and Tons of Funk is lacking in popularity. Despite the latest push that Darren Young and Tyson O’Neil have gotten, The Shield will likely hold onto their belts.

Prediction: Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns
